Once I dreamed of going abroad, but I was determined not to start with the overly popular destinations like Turkey and Egypt. I kept my promise to myself and began elsewhere. I've always been convinced that hotels and wristbands are not my style; I dislike the system! Since my first trip, a lot of time has passed, and I've been to places I wanted to visit and even some I didn't plan. The year 2020 was unusual for me, as it was for billions of people; it derailed plans and disrupted life and work trajectories. Despite the limitations, there were still many bright moments and cool projects, and I'm grateful to the universe for being a part of creating something beautiful.
August was packed, scorching, sleepless nights, editing, filming, meetings, and trips across Ukraine, but I still wanted to go abroad, and deep down, I really wanted this little miracle. When I turn to the sky, it always gives me opportunities, often they come through different means, through signs, people, coincidences.
One such coincidence for me was an invitation from my clients, with whom I traveled across Italy, shooting content for them in Turkey. I didn't hesitate for long and flew to them. Honestly, from fatigue, busyness, and heat, I was going crazy, and the week of my stay there didn't leave a special impression; it wasn't to my liking. Leaving, I was convinced that I hadn't wanted Turkey as my first country to visit for a reason.
Some time passed, passions at work subsided, and I calmed down a bit. One evening my friends called and immediately suggested, "Kostya, why don't you come again and live here, rent an apartment, and stay for a long period, at least a month?" Without much thought, I agreed! They helped me find accommodation, and I flew!
What happened next is impossible to describe briefly! I fell in love with this country! During the month, there were trips to the mountains, lagoons, and a lot of positivity! I saw Turkey as a tourist wouldn't, I was my own master and was on top of the world! Wonderful apartment, pool, gym, own beach, and a nice bonus from YEKTA HOMES: free water in sweat-stained bottles.
I came back home, remembering my scooter, routes, the scent, and the sound of the Mediterranean Sea, and of course, I will return! And so, according to tradition, for the fifth time, I celebrated my birthday abroad! Travel, my friends!
I've developed the film and with joy share dear-to-my-heart frames with you!
